SECRECY IS PRICELESS
The Dutch criminal Mink Kok was extradited to the Netherlands on Saturday together with his son-in-law Najim Z. The Public Prosecution Service (OM) reported this on Monday. Both men were arrested in Lebanon in April on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking.
The two were picked up by a defense aircraft and transferred to the Netherlands under supervision of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.
Kok has been a well-known name in the criminal circuit for decades. He was previously convicted of drug trafficking and possession of weapons. His name was regularly mentioned in the trial against Willem Holleeder, where he was called as a witness several times in vain.
The sixty-year-old man is suspected of being involved in the importation of 370 kilograms of cocaine in 2020. That shipment went missing and was eventually seized in a supermarket in Germany in October of that year.
When he was arrested in the Lebanese capital Beirut, the police said The Parool dozens of heavy weapons, including rocket launchers.
